What Is the Pause Live TV feature?
Suppose you are watching TV and the phone rings or you need to take a break. Just press the pause button and your TV pauses at that point. Once you want to start watching, press Play to start playing TV exactly from where you left off
How do I Rewind Live TV?
If you are watching TV and want to replay a particular scene or dialogue, simply press the Rewind button on the remote control. By repeatedly pressing the Rewind button, you can increase the rewind speed.
How do I Record a program using my Remote Control?
You can record a program you are viewing by pressing the Rec button on your remote. You can also browse the Guide to schedule programs to record up to 7 days in advance.
How do I Record a program using my Mobile Phone?
If you are not in front of your Set top box, you can also schedule a recording from your mobile phone with the following steps:
Note: When you schedule a program to record from your mobile, please ensure that you Set Top box is connected to the power supply and that there were no other recording conflicts at the same time.
What is the Lock Feature on the recording?
To protect accidental deletion of your recording or to protect your children from viewing the recording, you can choose to Lock your recording. The default PIN is the same as your default parental control pin which is 0000. All mobile recorded events are locked to protect your mobile recordings.
How can I watch what I have recorded?
You can view your recordings anytime at your convenience. Press MyRec on your remote to reach the My Recordings section. Your recordings are also grouped by genre for your ease of navigation.
How much space do I have on my Recorder?
The Recorder has a hard disk size of 160GB on which you can record up to 100 hours of content.
How do I know how much space is available for Recording?
Click on MyRec on your remote and you can see a graphical indicator that shows you how much disk space is free.
How do I record all the series/episodes of a program?
Whenever you start or schedule a recording, you will see that a ‘Ser’ or ‘Series’ option will appear on the page. Using this option, you can schedule multiple or all episodes of the program. You can also find a program in My Recordings (by clicking MyRec on the remote control) and use the series link option to record the series.
What is Time-based recording?
Sometimes the provider does not give us the episode-link details of your program, so it is impossible for the Recorder to recognize the series to record automatically. This problem affects recorders worldwide.
If this problem occurs you can use the Record by Time feature. Enter the channel number, the start and end time, how often this recording should repeat (daily/weekly) and your program will get recorded automatically!
What happens when my disk gets full? Will my recorder stop recording new programs?
You can specify how you want your Recorder to manage your recordings when the disk is full. There are three possible disk management mode options available in the Recorder Settings: Automatic, Warning and Manual mode, depending on how you want the recorder to handle your recordings when te disk space gets full.
For how long can I store my recordings?
You can store your recordings for as long as you like. There is also a Lock feature that allows you to lock any recording(s) to prevent accidental deletion.
What happens when there is an electricity failure? Will I lose my recordings?
Your recordings are secure on your hard disk and you will not lose anything that has already been recorded when there is a power failure. However, if there is a program that is recording or has been scheduled for recording at the time of a electricity failure, the recording will not happen for the duration of the power cut. As soon as the electricity returns, your recorder will start automatically and the recording will resume.
